Carrot Halwa, Gajorer Halwa  



Here is one of my favourite Halwa.


Serving Size: 2

Cooking Time: 30 mins


1. 1 kg  Carrot

2. 1 litre  10%  Fat Milk

3. 50 gm  Cashew

4. 5 tbsp Ghee

5. 300 gm Sugar ( If required add more )

6. 4 pieces of Cardamon crushed

7. 50 gm Almond

Cooking procedure:


Peel and grate carrots.Keep aside



In a heavy bottomed kadai, fry the grated carrots in  ghee for five minutes .



Then add the milk boil till thick, stirring occassionally. Once it starts thickening, stir continuously. Then add cardamom. Lastly add sugar and cook further till thickens. The halwa is done when the mixture is thick enough to draw from the sides and bottom of the pan in a solid mass.



Decorate the top with the crushed cashew and almonds



Serving Suggestions:

Serve warm or at normal room temperature.
