Egg Tarka Dal – Dimer Torka
Tarka Dal a popular north Indian preparation hot favourite among Panjabis is best served with hot naan bread or paratha and salad.Its not only tasty but filling and nutritious too.

- Green Mug Dal – 100 grms
- Onion – 1
- Tomato – 1
- Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tsp
- Cumin Powder 1 tsp
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
- Egg – 2
Soak the mug dal preferably overnight or for 4 hours atleast.
Pressure cook for at 2 to 3 whistles. Store the excess drained water in a vessel and keep the dal aside.
Finely chop the onion, coconut , tomato and green chilly
Heat cooking oil in a frying pan. Add the chopped onion and coconut and fry it.Once it turns brown put ginger garlic paste.
Add all the masalas , tomato and boiled dal . Gradually pour the drained out water soaked from dal that was kept aside as required.Cook in covered the pan for few minutes.
Garnish with scrambled egg
Enjoy it with roti or chapati with green chilly and sliced onion rings.
