
This is not a regular Katla fish recipe. Its a creamy preparation made with milk and Methi. If you are bored with same Katla Jhol or Jhal preparation, then give this a try. You won’t regret it.

Ingredients:
- 4 Rohu/ Katla Fish ( Peti Pieces only)
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Methi Seeds
- 1 tsp corn flour
- Salt to taste
- A pinch of Sugar
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 Green Chilly
- 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
- 1 Dried Red Chilly
Cooking Procedure:
Marinate fish with salt and turmeric powder.

Heat oil in non stick kadai and shallow fry the fish. Keep aside the fish pieces.
Take mustard seeds, methi seeds, dried red chilly, green chilly and 1 /2 cup milk. Mix corn flour with the milk for creamy texture of the gravy.

Put rest of the oil in the kadai and put methi seeds and mustard seeds to crackle in oil. Add green chilly with salt and turmeric (salt and turmeric should be added according to one’s taste and colour) in the oil.

When oil ooze out from the masala add the milk mixture and 1 cup of water into it for boiling. Add fish pieces into it for boiling and let it simmer for few minutes.
