This is one of my favorite dish which I can make it only in summer with fresh green mango. It is served towards the end of the meal.
Serving Size: 3-4 people
Cooking Time: 35 mins
Ingredients:
Green mango cut into 1 “ pieces
Fennel seeds
Mustard seeds
Dried Red chilly
Turmeric powder
Cumin seeds
Raisin
Sugar
Little bit of Corn Starch
Cooking Procedure:
First heat white oil and then add dried red chilli, mustard seeds, fennel seeds and let it sputter in oil for a min. Now add the chopped green mango and stir it well.
Add pinch of salt and turmeric powder and fry it for couple of mins over medium heat.
Now add a glass of water and bring this to a nice boil. Then add the soaked raisin.
Cover the lid and cook the mangoes until it is really soft and well cooked.
Now add the sugar as per taste.
Now in another pan roast the cumin seeds on low heat and stir it well. Then grind the roasted cumin seeds. Then mix little bit of cold water in the cornstarch and then add the cornstarch into the mango chutney
Cook it for couple of mins and lastly add the grounded cumin powder and mix it well.
Serving Suggestion:
Enjoy Mango Chutney towards the end of the meal.It took me about 35 mins to prepare this recipe and served 3-4 people.
