White Pumpkin with Hilsha Fish  


A very delicious recipe.

Serving Size: 2

Cooking Time: 30 mins


  1. 500 gm White Pumpkin
  2. 2 Hilsa Fish Head
  3. 2 Green Chilly
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  6. 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  7. 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  8. 1 tsp Turmeric Powder

Cooking Procedure:

Take a good piece of white pumpkin


Cut into small pieces.


Heat oil in pan then fry the hilsa fish head. Keep it aside


Put rest of the oil in kadai then add jeera to crackle in oil. Stir and fry the pumpkin on a medium-low heat for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Add the spice mixture , the green chillies and  fried fish head.If necessary add water. Bring to a simmer. Cover, lower the heat and simmer gently for 5-8 minutes or until it is tender.


Serving Suggestions:

Serve with hot steamed white rice.
