Tomato Khejur Kismiss Chutney
A chutney in the bengali context is a sweetened relish. It is served towards the end of the meal. It is served best with pappad.

Cooking Time : 25 mins
- 300 gm Tomato
- 50 gm Raisin
- 50 gm Dates
- Sugar to taste
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Saunf
Cut the tomatoes, dates (remove the seed and cut into 2 pieces) and raisin.
Heat oil in kadai then add Mustard Seeds and Saunf to crackle in oil . Then pour tomatoes ,turmeric powder and little bit of salt . Cover the lid for 5-10 mins. Occasionally stir well.
Now add dates , raisin and sugar . If necessary add water .
Preparation is ready to serve as a dessert.
