Tangra Fish Curry, Tengra Macher Jhol

 Tangra fish is one of the tasty fish in Bengali. This recipe is easy to prepare. It is famous mostly in state of  Bihar and Bengal.

Serving Size: 2

Cooking Time: 30 mins

Ingredients:

  1. 250 gm Tangra Fish
  2. 1 Onion
  3. 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1 Tomato
  6. 1 tsp Fish Masala
  7. 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  8. Sugar to taste

Cooking Procedure:

Take the good pieces of fish and clean it with water pat it dry
Marinate with salt and turmeric powder.

Take the good pieces of fish and clean it with water pat it dry. Marinate with salt and turmeric powder. Heat oil in non stick kadai and shallow fry the fish. Keep aside the fish pieces.

Put rest of the oil in the kadai then add onion and fry until it browns. Put ginger garlic paste and all the spices  with tomato.  Stir it.

Add fish pieces into water for boiling and  let it simmer for few minutes.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve it with Rice.
