Shrimp Potoler Dorma is a famous Bengali dish where the potol is stuffed with shrimp. The result is stunning! It can be eaten as appetizer or as curry.

Ingredients:
4 Large Size Potol/Parwal or Pointed Gourd
1/2 Cup Grated Coconut
200 gm Small Size Shrimp (Kucho Chingri)
1 tsp Sugar
Red Chilly Powder
Roasted 1 tsp Cumin & 1 tsp Coriander Powder
1/2 Cup Chola Dal Paste
Pinch of Garam Masala
Salt to taste
Cooking Procedure:
Cut two ends of parval and scoop out seeds with the back of the small spoon. Don’t throw away the parwal seeds. Chop shrimps into small pieces. Grind the parval seeds and chola dal in a mixer. Heat oil in a kadai then add all the ingredients except parwal and fry it and make it dry. Keep it aside and cool it for 5-10 mins. The cooked shrimp when cool can be stuffed into the parwals. Make small3-4 holes in the parwal with the sharp objects so that the stuffed will not come out while frying .
Deep fry stuffed parwal.

Enjoy Potoler Droma as an appetizer or with Dal or you can add the fried Potol into curry. Serve with steamed rice .
