Chechki means finely shredded and It’s not a everyday dish but once in while this is the best preparation of radish which I prepare. Radish is mostly available in winter as it tastes best at this time. This recipe needs to be prepared in low heat to make it a perfect dish.
Serving Size: 2-3 people
Cooking Time: 30 mins
Ingredients:
2 medium size Radish finely grated
1 tsp Kalo jeera
2 Green Chillies finely chopped
Half a cup of Green Peas
Few Dal Vadi
Mustard Oil
Salt and Sugar to taste
Cooking Procedure:
Heat mustard oil in a pan. When oil is hot add dal vadi. Stir continuously and fry it until it is light brown and then remove it.
Reduce the heat and then add kalo jeera as a phoron. Then add the grated radish. Mix it well and then cover the lid. No need to add water as radish will release lot of water.
Now add green peas and green chillies and mix it well.
Add salt and sugar as per taste. Cover the lid and cook it for about 5-6 mins.
When done take it out of flame.
Serving Suggestion:
Enjoy Mulor Checki or Radish dry curry with white rice. It took me about 30 mins to prepare this recipe and serves 2-3 people.
