Mourola or Mola Fish Curry
Mourola Fish is also similar to Anchovies .They are fresh water fish and to be cooked with care as these are very delicate. It is even tasty when fried .

- 250 gm Mourola Fish
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
- 1 tsp Kalonji
- 1 Potato
- 1 Tomato
- 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
- 1 tbsp Cumin Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- Coriander Leaves
- 2-3 Green Chillies
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Mustard oil is preferred for this recipe
Clean the fish and marinate it with salt and turmeric powder.
Heat the oil in the pan and deep fry the fish carefully until it turns light brown.
Cut the potato lengthwise and shallow fry it. Keep it aside.
Heat oil in pan then add kalonji and green chillies to crackle in oil. Then add ginger paste and fry it. Add all the spices along with tomato pieces. Add the fried potato with water as required and cover the lid for about 5-8 mins. When the potato is done (half-boiled) add the fish to boil.
Garnish with Coriander Leaves. Eat with steaming hot rice .
