Mola Fish Curry – MOUROLA MACHHER JHOL
Mourola Fish is fresh water fish and to be cooked with care as these are very delicate fish. Mourola Fish Curry is very easy to make it and goes well with rice.
Serving Size: 2-3 people
Cooking Time: 35 mins
- 500 gms of Mourola Fish / Mola Fish
- 1 Potato cut into lengthwise
- 1 Eggplant
- 1“long Ginger Paste
- Few Green Chillies
- Fresh Cilantro
- Few Dal Vadi
- Onion Seeds
- Turmeric Powder
- Cumin Powder
- Coriander Powder
- White Oil
First marinate the fish with little bit of turmeric powder and salt.
Add white oil in a pan and then lightly fry the dal vadi and then fry the potato. Remove it when done
Then fry the eggplant and remove it when done.
Now add onion seeds and ginger paste to temper in oil. Then add the fish and fry it.
Add all the spices : coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and then chopped green chillies.
Then add water for gravy and bring it to a nice boil. Add all the vegetables and salt as per taste.
Cover the lid and cook it for about 5 mins.
Mourolla is now done and lastly garnish with cilantro leaves.
Enjoy this fish curry for lunch with hot steamed rice. It took me about 35 mins to prepare this dish and serves 2-3 people.
