Mango Chutney, Aamer Chutney  


This is one of my favourite dish which i can make it only in summer as mango is available at that period. This is a traditional recipe . It is made from ripe mangoes to make a perfect dish.

Serving Size: 3

Cooking Time: 25 mins

Ingredients :

  1. 1 KachaAam ( Green Mango )
  2. 1 tsp Mauri (Fennel )
  3. 1 Dried Red Chillies
  4. 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  5. A Pinch of Salt
  6. Sugar as required
  7. Mustard Oil

Cooking procedure:

 Green mangoes are preferable, but half rip mangoes can also be used. Peel off the skin and cut in small pieces.


Heat oil in a non stick pan, add fennel and red chili till splutters. Ensure not to burn.


Then add the Green Mango and fry for 1-2 min . Add water ,Turmeric , 2 tbsp of sugar and pinch of salt to taste. Boil and stir it for 5-7 mins.
Serving Suggestions:

Mango Chutney is now ready.Remove, cool and serve as appetizers.
