Kachurmukhi / Arbi Chutney  


The taste of this chutney is sweet and sour. This is a very easy recipe.

Serving Size: 4

Cooking Time: 30 mins


  1. 300 gm Kachurmukhi
  2. 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  3. 1 Dried Red Chilly
  4. 1 tsp Salt
  5. Sugar as required
  6. 2 tsp Tamarind Paste
  7. 1 tsp Turmeric Powder

Cooking Procedure:

Take the good pieces of kachurmukhi. Peel it off .


Cut into lengthwise.


Make a paste of tamarind .


Heat oil in pan then add sarsu and dried red chilly to crackle in oil. Then add the kachurmukhi and fry it until it browns.Then add the turmeric powder, salt and sugar . Pour water and lastly add the tamarind paste . Stir well. Cover the lid for about 5-10 mins.


Serving Suggestions:

Serve it with rice.
