Jalpai Chutney, Indian Olive Chutney  


Jolpai is nothing but Indian Olive. It is served after lunch. There are various kind of chutneys in Bengali style. It a mouthwatering sweet dish. Hope you all like it.

Cooking Time: 30 mins


  1. 200 gm Jolpai (Olive)
  2. 1 tbsp Salt
  3. 4-5 tbsp Sugar
  4. 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  5. 1 tsp Mauri
  6. 1 tbsp Shredded Coconut
  7. 1 Dried red Chilly

Cooking Procedure:

Take the good pieces of jolpai. Boil it in a pressure cooker for 4-5 whistlets. Smash it.


 Take shredded coconut .


Heat oil in pan then add mustard seeds, mauri and dried red chilly to crackle in oil.


Pour the smashed  jolpai and coconut . Stir well. Add all the spices. Add water.


Serving Suggestions:

Preparation is ready to serve as dessert.
