Beaulier Dal, Yellow Lentil

Cooking Time: 45 mins


  1. 1 small cup Beaulier Daal or Lentil
  2. 1 Tomato
  3. Salt to taste
  4. 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  5. 1 Bay leaf
  6. 1 tsp Ginger Paste
  7. 1 tsp Saunf
  8. 1 Dried Red Chilly

Cooking Procedure:

Cut the tomato into small pieces.



Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a medium flame. When hot put in the bay leaf, saunf and dried red chilly. Ten seconds later, put in the ginger paste and stir.



Add tomato and bring to a simmer. Add pre-boiled dal. Add the spice and cook it for few sec. If necessary add water. Cover, and boil it properly.



Serving Suggestion:

Serve hot with: Cumin Rice (Jeera Chawal), white rice
