Topse fish is small and has soft bones. This is specially dipped in the batter of besan and then deep fried. It goes well as a snack or with rice and dal and little bit of Kasundi or mustard sauce.

Ingredients:
1 pound of Topse fish
Ginger
Garlic
Green Chillies
Lime
Turmeric Powder
Cumin Powder
Coriander Powder
1 cup of Besan
⅓ cup of Rice Flour
Baking Soda
Kalo Jeera
Posto or Poppy Seeds
Red Chilly Powder
Cooking Procedure:
First make the paste of green chillies, ginger and garlic.
Now marinate the fish with little bit of salt, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, cumin powder and little bit of lime juice. Mix it well and keep it in the refrigerator for at least an hr.
Now for batter add besan, rice flour, kalo jeera, posto, baking soda, red chilly powder, little bit of salt and then mix it well, Then add water and make a smooth batter.
Now add white oil in a kadai and then take the fish into that batter one by one and fry it.
Enjoy when done.
Serving Suggestion:
Enjoy Topse fish as an appetizer or with white rice and dal. It took about half an hour to prepare this fish fry and it’ll server about 2-3 people.
