Radhaballavi is a kind of luchi or puri stuffed with urad dal.
Serving Size: 3-4 people
Cooking Time: 45 mins
For 1st Step of Roasted Spices

First in a pan add cumin seeds, fennel seeds and red chilly flakes. On low heat stir it well and roast it for couple of mins until it turns light brown and then take it out and bring it to a room temperature. Then grind the roasted spices.
For the filling grind the soaked urad dal, green chillies and little bit of water to thick paste.
Then add white oil in a kadai. When oil is hot add hing, ginger paste and stir it little bit. Then add urad dal paste and then stir it continuously.
Then add salt and sugar as per taste and roasted spices as well. Mix it well and add little bit of water if necessary.
Filling is now done and take out and keep it in room temperature.
Now for making the dough in a bowl add maida, atta, little bit of salt and 2 tbsp of white oil and mix it well. Then slowly add water and knead it well.
Then make medium size balls from the dough.
Now add little bit of filling inside the balls and seal the edges. Then roll it.
Now in a pan add more than an inch of oil for frying. Reduce the heat to medium and then fry it. Take out the Radhaballavi when done.
Enjoy Radhaballavi with Aloor dum or Cholar dal. It took me about 45 mins to prepare this recipe and serves 3-4 people.
