Fish Cutlet is a crispy popular fish recipe which is enjoyed as an appetizer or evening snacks.

2 Tilapia/ Basa Fish Fillet
1 Onion Paste
1” long Ginger Paste
Half of a Lemon
4 cloves of Garlic Paste
Few fresh Coriander leaves finely chopped
Paste of 4 Green Chillies
1 tsp Roasted Cumin and Coriander Powder
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
1 tsp Grounded Pepper
1 cup All Purpose Flour
1 cup Bread crumbs
Salt to taste
First pat the fish with paper towels to make it dry.
Now mix all the ingredients in the bowl : onion paste, garlic paste, ginger paste, roasted cumin and coriander powder, grounded pepper, garam masala powder, green chillies paste, salt as per taste, coriander leaves, and squeeze the lemon juice. Mix it well and make a smooth paste.
Now spread this above paste on top of the fish and keep it in the refrigerator and marinate for about an hr.
After an hr take it out from the refrigerator and then in a bowl break the eggs and mix it well and then in two plates spread the all purpose flour and bread crumbs and then sprinkle little bit of pepper corn and salt in bread crumbs.
Coat the fishes so first all purpose flour then egg and then bread crumbs and again egg and bread crumbs.
Heat white oil for deep frying. Add at least an inch of oil and reduce the heat and then fry it.
Take it out when it turns to crispy golden brown.
Enjoy Fish Cutlet as an appetizer with tomato ketchup and little bit of raw onion salad. It took me about 45 mins to prepare this fish cutlet and serves 4 people.
